MINIATURE MUSTANGS
Here’s a return for Platz's 1/144 scale P-51D Mustang, packaged in typical fashion as a dual-kit offering.
CANNON-ARMED LEGEND
This is just the second iteration of Revell’s recent 1/72 Spitfire, depicting the Mk.Vb variant as opposed to a Mk.IIa in the initial release.
IMPROVED AEROBATICS
Released at the same time as its three-bladed ‘cousin’ (see Reviews, AMW 122 January 2021), this neat Brengun kit provides the same styrene parts on two runners, plus seven finely cast resin components for the four-bladed propeller and spinner.
AUSSIE GROUND ATTACK
Special Hobby’s Boomerang returns for a third release, with the single runner augmented by resin wheels and a ‘hedgehog-style’ exhaust.
EARLY 'EMIL'
Eduard’s superb 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109E has been re-issued as a styrene-only Weekend Edition, appearing as the first variant in this ‘family’ of sub-types: the machine gun-armed E-1.
DUTCH FIGHTER
It’s a welcome return for Kinetic’s 1/48 F-5A kit and while the styrene parts, presented on seven runners, are unchanged, this latest iteration provides markings for Dutch, Norwegian and Spanish airframes.
BEST HERC YET
Until recently there wasn’t a truly accurate 1/72 C-130 Hercules kit available – fortunately, Zvezda has now filled this gap with aplomb.
FLYING IRON
The re-release of Airfix’s 1/48 Gloster Javelin has been awaited eagerly by modellers; it is a direct reissue comprising nine styrene runners packed with crisply moulded parts.
FRENCH FIGHTER
Eduard’s 1/48 Nieuport 17 has been updated with the inclusion of photo-etched (PE) metal enhancements plus a pre-cut painting mask in this ProfiPACK Edition.
