DECALS FOR BRITISH AMPHIBIANS

Sweden’s Star Decals has released three new sets of markings for World War Two LVT Buffalo vehicles in 1/35 scale.

DECALS FOR BRITISH AMPHIBIANS

The so-called AMTRAC amphibians are interesting modelling subjects, offering inventive individual display and diorama possibilities alike. If you’re planning to build any of this armoured vehicle family, new aftermarket schemes have been released by military markings specialist Star Decals.

The liveries are all for LVT-2 and LVT-4 AMTRACS, and the three sheets focus in particular on British Buffalo variants employed in the Allied invasion force after D-Day…

Note that all the decals highlighted here have matt carrier film, so it’s advisable to apply plenty of gloss varnish applying the markings. Each sheet costs just US$7.

If 1/35 is your favoured scale, relevant styrene AMTRAC kits have been produced by Italeri, AFV Club and Dragon, although a modicum of conversion/corrective work may be necessary. For more information on Star Decals, visit: www.star-decals.net
