7 1/4in Ruston and Hornsby locomotive display

Two 7 1/4in Ruston and Hornsby locomotives will be on display at Model World LIVE alongside a scale model of the Ruston and Hornsby Sheaf Ironworks built to 'OO' gauge. The two locomotives are being displayed by Michael and Andrew Sharpe and model a Ruston 48DS 4wDM and a Ruston 20DL narrow gauge locomotive.

The Ruston 48DS is a battery powered model of Michael and Andrew Sharpe's full size locomotive - 1941 built 48DS 207103. The original locomotive is the second oldest working standard gauge Ruston and is kept at Rocks by Rail near Cottesmore. It is fully restored and in working order.

The 7 1/4in version is battery powered and is presented in the same colour scheme as the restored standard gauge locomotive.
