LAST WEEK Accurascale revealed that its next ready-to-run 'OO' gauge locomotive model would be the BR Class 60 heavy-freight Type 5, and following its launch Project Manager Steve Purves visited us to showcase the decorated running samples of the all-new model on our test track and talk further about the model.

The Class 60 has been popular since its introduction at the end of the 1980s. It was the last heavy-freight locomotive design to be built in Britain with all 100 locomotives being completed at the Brush Works in Loughborough between 1989 and 1993.
