Accurascale has presented Samaritans UK with a cheque for £10,000 following the sell-out success of its recent exclusive 'OO' gauge Freightliner Class 66 locomotive - 66415 You Are Never Alone.
Launched at Pete Waterman and the Railnuts' Making Tracks 3 Christmas event at Blakemere in 2023, 66415 was delivered earlier this summer. A percentage from the sale of each 'OO' gauge model was donated to the final total raised for the charity.
To mark the event, Accurascale visited Freightliner's Doncaster depot where the full-size 66415 had been taken out of traffic for the occasion.
Accurascale representatives were joined by Tim Shoveller, Freightliner Chief Executive Officer for G&W UK/Europe and Richard Hall, a listening volunteer from Samaritans UK to accept the funds.

The manufacturer has several other charity collaborations planned and ongoing, such as a new exclusive edition of DB Cargo Class 66 66190 Martin House, with the goal of raising £10,000 for its namesake.
