Accurascale reveals second run of Mk1 Suburbans

Accurascale has confirmed a second production run of its all-new ‘OO’ gauge BR Mk1 suburban coaches, which are set to appear in BR maroon.

Currently at the decorated sample stage of the production process, this next batch of coaches will reflect Midland Region Brake Second (BS), Composite (C), Second (S) and Second Open (SO) coaches in BR maroon with and without lining. These vehicles had lower lining than on other examples so they matched with the lining on Stanier coaches and this will be reflected on these releases.

The new Mk1 suburbans will use the same tooling as the first production run.

Additionally BR maroon BS, C and S vehicles will be produced modelling Scottish Region examples. These will feature both BR and Midland Region positioned lining on the side and will include the First Class yellow stripe as well.

BR Mk1 suburbans in maroon have been announced from Accurascale.

Tooling for these examples will be the same as the first run, with each featuring factory-fitted interior lights, die-cast metal chassis, separately-fitted detailing, flush glazing, kinematic NEM couplings, detachable magnetic roof, full interior detail and more.

Priced at £64.95 each, release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
