Accurascale has received decorated samples of its 'OO' gauge JSA steel coil wagons. The brand new wagons are expected to arrive in September 2020 in twin packs priced at £59.95 each.

JSA

The JSAs were rebuilds of surplus JTA/JUA bogie iron ore tipplers and 56 were created by Marcroft Engineering of Stoke-on-Trent for British Steel in 1996. They initially had three piece sliding hoods, but from 2018 these were removed following refurbishment by Arlington Fleet Services at Eastleigh Works.

During their careers the JSA wagons have been used in original form for steel coil traffic from Scunthorpe, Sheerness, Margam, Llanwern, Ebbw Vale, Road Oak and others while in modified form they are used on flows from Margam to Llanwern and Corby.

Accurascale is releasing the JSA in British Steel blue and VTG silver in original hooded form while the modified versions without hoods will be available in VTG lettered black. Each wagon has turned metal wheels, small tension lock couplings in NEM pockets, separately fitted parts where application and interior detail too. Hoods on the JSAs are posable and the refurbished wagons will have steel coil loads.
