AIRFIX 1/48 HUNTER AND COLLECTOR COIN BUNDLE

The UK kit manufacturer’s peachy new 1/48 Hunter FGA.9/FR.10/GA.11 kit is now available with a smart, limited-edition collector coin.

AIRFIX 1/48 HUNTER AND COLLECTOR COIN BUNDLE

Airfix’s 1/48 Hunter is a great kit and now even more versatile, as it’s been reissued with new parts for building one of three sub-types… the FGA.9, recce-focused FR.19 or the naval GA.11.

However, there’s extra reason to take the plunge as it’s now on sale through the Airfix website as Bundle27, which includes a handsome collector coin limited to 500 pieces. Crafted in antique and recessed silver, it depicts Flt Alan Pollock’s highly unauthorised flight between the spans of London’s Tower Bridge, on April 5, 1968. He executed the manoeuvre in protest to the then government’s swingeing defence cuts.

The coin, besides being a lovely collectable in its own right, is also ripe for display on a base with Airfix’s Hunter, finished as ‘Al’ Pollock’s 1 Squadron FGA.9 XF442/H. The bundle costs £46.99 direct from Airfix, but can also be purchased in four interest-free payments of £11.75. Don’t miss it!
