The now legendary 1/24 Airfix Harrier GR.1 has been re-released as part of the firm’s popular Vintage Classic range, as CHRIS CLIFFORD reports.
Despite its large size, it could be considered a right of passage for many Harrier fans to build Airfix’s GR.1 Superkit, first released in 1974. My initial attempt at completing it was in 1979, at the tender age of 11… and I remember it fondly. I also built another when I was 16, converting it to a GR.3 for display in my local RAF careers office.
