Production samples of Key Publishing’s latest limited edition of Class 40 40145 East Lancashire Railway have arrived from Bachmann including factory sound fitted versions.

The ‘OO’ gauge model is due to arrive in stock this summer and is available to pre-order now with a £10 deposit at Key Model World Shop. Prices are set at £229.95 for DCC ready versions and £329.95 for DCC sound fitted models.
The Class 40 models preserved 40145 in the BR large logo blue livery which was carried by the English Electric 1Co-Co1 in 2007-2010. It carries printed East Lancashire Railway nameplates with etched replacements in the box.
The specification includes a Plux22 decoder socket, two 15mm x 11mm cube speakers, directional lighting, new tooling for the high intensity lights and more. A five-pole motor with brass flywheels provides drive to both bogies.
