VICTORIAN TANK locomotives are not common in ready-to-run form, but this latest release from Bachmann marks another step towards rectifying that situation. It’s a few years since the Barwell company announced its intention to produce a London & North Western Railway (LNWR) ‘Coal Tank’ 0-6-2T in 2014, inspired by the return to steam of the National Trust’s unique survivor 1054 and much has happened in the intervening period.
