This is the first of Belkits’ newly tooled 1/24 Citroën C3 WRC kits and is likely to be the most popular as it features an exceptional rally driver long associated with the French marque: Sébastien Loeb. The sub-title covers the event depicted: 2018’s Tour de Corse, or Rally of Corsica.
Parts comprise a separate bodyshell and six runners formed from white styrene, plus a clear, a chrome-finished and vinyl-type plastic runner and tyres made from the same material. A pair of photo-etched brass frets supply grille, brake disc and other small detail parts, while a length of ribbon is supplied to form seat harnesses.
Above: A one-piece styrene bodyshell captures the appearance of the real vehicle well – the basic shape is enhanced with flared wheelarches and aerodynamic surfaces.
Above: Metallic trim elements are supplied on a chrome-finished runner – some modellers will find this acceptable, while others will wish to respray the parts.
