NEW SAILOR FIGURES FROM BLACK CAT MODELS

The French aftermarket firm specialising in maritime accessories has released five new packs of 1/350 Royal Navy personnel.

NEW SAILOR FIGURES FROM BLACK CAT MODELS

Whether you’re a long-time warship modeller, or entering the genre for the first time, the new figures from Black Cat Models can add the human element to any World War Two Royal Navy ship project.

The 3D-printed resin items, as with any accessory of this nature, are attached to a printing base and need just a very slight swipe with a fresh scalpel blade to remove them. Even though they are just approximately 5mm tall, under magnification it’s evident they are well detailed… and offer many different poses. Ideal for a mix of vessels, including aircraft carriers, the examples received by Key Model World are as follows:

Even just one or two packs can add a wealth of extra life to a 1/350 ship build and, if you’re planning a Royal Navy aircraft carrier, the Fleet Air Arm set is an absolute must. These figures are tiny as you’d expect for 1/350 scale, but if you’re a seasoned maritime modeller you’ll be used to working with miniscule components anyway. Each set costs €12.46, available directly from Black Cat Models.
