Bridging the gap

Many model railways can benefit from a removable section to allow access to a room. TREVOR JONES shows how he made use of a bridge kit to create a removable section with both form and function.

The Faller kit has been strengthened with a thicker deck and aluminium angle for its sides. Aluminium bar has also been added to link the outer piers with the blocks at the base of the girder frame. A kit built LNER streamlined ‘P2’ 2-8-2 crosses the newly completed bridge.
