The manufacturer’s new ‘OO’ gauge diesel projects are developing well, with the Class 56 now in the final stages, with 14 different models planned plus a special GBRf farewell railtour pack.

Sound-fitted models will feature a bespoke sound project recorded and programmed by ESU, together with a newly-developed twin-speaker setup with passive radiator and cube combination. The project has been designed to work in conjunction with the independently motored roof fans, while hall sensors will enable flange squeal to be heard as the models negotiate curves. Sound-fitted Class 56s are priced at £289.95 each (£189.95 DCC ready).

Meanwhile, the all-new ‘OO’ gauge Class 60 diesel project is also gathering pace with first shots from the moulds due for assessment by the development team shortly. Ten different models are planned initially, covering some of the many colour schemes carried on the class since its introduction from BR Trainload schemes to present day freight liveries. Digital sound-fitted Class 60s are priced at £294.95 each (£194.95 DCC ready).

Models are available to order now from Cavalex Models’ retail stockists, including C&M Models, Cheltenham Model Centre, Colletts Models, John Dutfield Models, KMS Railtech, Rails of Sheffield, Rainbow Railways, Trains4U, TTC Diecast and Ultimate Railways.
