After several false starts, the Sutton’s Locomotive Works Class 24 became all the inspiration ALLAN FREER needed to rekindle his ambition to build a model railway. Cockshute depot near Stoke-on-Trent is the result. COCKSHUTE IS my first layout for over 40 years and ends a long absence from the hobby. My attempts at other layouts in the past were never properly completed, for one reason or another, mainly because of the lack of time, modelling expertise or funds.
