The train departs from London Paddington and runs via Bath and Newport, returning via Chepstow and Gloucestershire. Vocal harmony trio The Spitfire Sisters will entertain passengers, as well as close-up magician Peter Mehtab, who has performed for King Charles III.

There will also be an onboard raffle and auction of a range of prizes to celebrate the Coronation and the railway.

Two ticket options are available. The Dining ticket includes a ‘Best of British’ seven-course menu and costs £500 per ticket. First Class, meanwhile, costs £200 per ticket and includes a snacking selection of local produce including Bucks Fizz and a glass of wine.

Railway Children Group Director of Fundraising Jack Miller said: ‘The whole country will be marking the historic occasion of King Charles III's Coronation and we are delighted that the Midland Pullman will be part of the celebration.

"What better way to spend the very special bank holiday than on one of our finest trains, taking in the glorious British countryside, enjoying the very best of British food whilst being entertained by some incredible acts.

"We are grateful for the generosity of Locomotive Services Limited who have kindly donated both the train and the two experiences. By choosing to celebrate the coronation this way, those who join us will not only have an incredible day to remember but will be supporting Railway Children’s mission to protect vulnerable children in the UK, India and Tanzania."
