VIDEO: Dapol Class 29 Bo-Bo diesel for ‘OO’

class 29

Following on from the North British Class 21 Bo-Bo diesel for 'OO' from Dapol (HM153), we received a sample of its refurbished Class 29.

These locomotives were rebuilt from the original Class 21s by replacing the engines along with modifications to the roof, bodyside and cab front. The most obvious change was the addition of a four-character headcode box in place of the original headcode discs.

In this video we put the two-tone green version of the Class 29, D6114 (Cat No. 4D-014-001), through its paces on the Hornby Magazine test layout. Read the full review in HM154 and watch in action here at the head of a parcels train.
