Dapol has received Engineering Prototype (EP) samples of the new ‘O’ gauge GWR 20ton ‘Toad’ brake van for evaluation by the company’s development team.
These newly-tooled models feature a die-cast chassis with detailed body, full interior detail, finely profiled wheels, axles with brass bearing pockets, sprung metal buffers, coupling hooks and separately applied detailing.
Identities of the Diagram AA15 examples include 56683 and 68684 in GWR grey (Cat Nos. 7F-300-001/002) and W17953 in BR grey (7F-300-003) together with Diagram AA19 114925 in GWR grey (7F-300-005), Diagram AA20 W68673 (7F-300-006) in BR grey and Diagram AA21 17410 (7F-300-007) also in GWR grey. Diagram AA21 vehicles will also appear as W17445 (7F-300-008) and W17390 (7F-300-009) in BR bauxite. Unnumbered grey and bauxite versions are also planned.
Priced at £101.52 each, release is expected by the end of the year.
