Dapol plans new batch of ‘OO’ Class 21/29s

Dapol has confirmed plans for a new production run of its ‘OO’ gauge Class 21 and 29 Bo-Bo diesels

The Class 21 diesels are to feature tablet catchers for these new releases, finished as D6140 in BR green with small yellow warning panels (Cat No. 4D-025-005) and D6151 in BR green with small yellow warning panels (4D-025-006).

Three Class 29 diesels are also planned with D6100 in BR blue with full yellow ends (4D-014-004), 6101 in BR two-tone green with full yellow ends (4D-014-005) and D6132 in BR two-tone green with small yellow warning panels.

As with previous releases, they will feature a five-pole motor, independent directional and cab lighting, 21-pin DCC Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket, all-wheel drive and pick-up and will be available DCC ready, DCC-fitted and DCC sound-fitted.

Prices are set at £157.27, £188.32 and £304.22 respectively for the Class 21s, while the Class 29s are priced at £170, £200 and £310.60. Following modifications to the tooling, release is anticipated during the second half of 2022.
