Rails of Sheffield has received new artwork for its forthcoming exclusive 'OO' gauge BR prototype 18100 gas turbine locomotive.
Produced exclusively for the retailer by Heljan, three versions are in production finished as BR prototype gas turbine 18100 in BR black with silver trim and early crests (Cat No. 1810) and rebuilt BR electric locomotives E1000 in 1960s BR black with silver trim and late crests (1811) and E2001 in 1960s BR black with silver trim and late crests (1812).
CAD work is now complete and detailed artwork for the new models has been received for assessment.
Rails of Sheffield's newly tooled locomotives will feature a five-pole motor, flywheels, 21-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) socket, etched metal grilles, separately applied handrails, sprung Oleo buffers, flush glazing, spoked wheels, engine room illumination, working headlights and rear taillight.
Priced at £225 each, a release date has yet to be confirmed.
