The US publisher’s recent softback on the B-24 Liberator offers a wealth of detail for modellers, as CHRIS CLIFFORD discovers.

If you plan to build a B-24, regardless of your chosen scale and kit, a high degree of accuracy can be achieved by using Detail & Scale’s recent reference book on the type as a guide. In softback format and with 100 pertinent pages, this splendid title explores each variant of this large bomber family, including the naval PB4Y-1 and -2. There are many more colour photographs than you might expect; these, along with the black and white studies, provide heaps of detail for modellers, regarding mot just structural nuances but also colour schemes and weathering.
