Doehler & Haass SOUND DECODERS

DIGITAL CONTROL

Locoman Sounds is creating new sound files for a new brand of digital sound decoder for the UK market by Doehler & Haass. MIKE WILD installs 8-pin and 21-pin decoders into a pair of Southern Region locomotives using new recordings from Locoman.

The Doehler & Haass sound-equipped Hornby ‘Q1’ 0-6-0 leads a string of 16ton mineral wagons through Topley Dale station. The 8-pin decoder is compact, but still features 28 functions as well as the option to work with both 4ohm and 8ohm speakers.

IT’S not every day that a new brand of sound decoders lands in our office, but when Locoman Sounds became the UK distributor for Doehler & Haass sound decoders, we knew we had to put them to the test.
