VIDEO: Lineside on the East Coast Main Line

Join Mike Wild as he follows a selection of main line movements on the East Coast Main Line around Peterborough across the summer, exclusively on KeyModelWorld.

The East Coast Main Line (ECML) is a busy place, and particularly around the Peterborough area where trains from London and East Anglia converge and then take one of three routes to the north – the ECML, the Joint Line to Spalding to reach Doncaster and the north and the former Midland route through Stamford to reach the Midlands.

Across the summer I’ve been following activities around the Peterborough area when possible to gather together footage and and photographs of the contemporary railway scene – and surprisingly its still varied and even more colourful than you might imagine. There is another reason to this too - the potential of a new layout project.
