The radar-equipped Grumman F6F-5N produced in 1/72 by Eduard has been re-released. CHRIS CLIFFORD examines the contents.

EDUARD NOCTURNAL HELLCAT REISSUED

Eduard’s 1/72 Hellcat family was launched in 2011, with many variants being issued since. It quickly established itself as the best Hellcat on the market in that scale. Modellers interested in night-fighters were catered for in 2012 when the firm added new parts and decals to offer the F6F-5N, fitted with a Westinghouse radar pod on the starboard wing. Now, that ProfiPACK kit (7079) has been reissued in a new box but the contents are the same. You won’t be disappointed though…
