If you aren’t bowled over by the markings supplied with your 1/32 Trumpeter F-100D, inspiration could lie in Euro Decals’ new release...
Produced by Fantasy Printshop, Euro Decals has covered a wide variety of subjects, but more recently has provided F-100 Super Sabre liveries. Sheet ED32-132 is the second instalment in 1/32 scale (172 and 1/48 has been represented too), and offers four schemes for colourful USAF F-100Ds. All are US-based aluminium airframes with décor on the vertical tail (and nose in three instances).
The airframes are:
• 56-3151, 481st Tactical Fighter Squadron, 27th Tactical Fighter Wing, Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, 1959
• 56-3056, 524th TFS, 27th TFW, Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, 1959
• 55-2862, 454th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 323rd Fighter Bomber Wing, Bunker Hill AFB, Indiana, 1957
• 56-2933, 1st Fighter Day Squadron, 413th Fighter Day Wing, George AFB, California, 1959

Fantasy Printshop’s work is excellent as always, as the decals feature strong colours, perfect register and thin, gloss carrier film. A full array of national insignia and stencils/warning triangles accompanies the main markings. Ans while this is part 2 in the series, parts 1, 3 and 4 are also available, offering many more liveries. Rising paper costs do mean decal prices are on the rise, though, and this two-sheet package retails at £36.95, available from Fantasy Printshop
