Exclusive Accurascale Class 37 revealed

Accurascale has revealed a late addition to the first production run of its all-new ‘OO’ gauge Class 37s, with the announcement of D6703 in BR green with small yellow warning panels, as part of the company’s Accurascale Exclusives range.

Finished in early 1960s condition as Stratford based D6703, it was the first of the class to be named and will be supplied with First East Anglian Regiment etched metal nameplates for customer fitment.

Bearing the hallmarks of the previously announced Class 37s, this latest addition to the range will also feature four-character headcode displays with etched winding gear, pre-fitted headcodes and a range of pre-cut alternatives for customisation.

The model is also set to include double-riveted roof, bodyside water filler access door and steps, bufferbeam cowling with large round Oleo buffers and correct early bufferbeam configuration with vacuum/steam/control piping only.

Just 550 models are planned – split between DCC ready and DCC sound-fitted examples – and will appear in special presentation packaging.

Priced at £169.99 DCC ready and £259.94 DCC sound-fitted, delivery is expected in June 2023.
