Exclusive Class 47s for KMRC

Kernow Model Rail Centre has revealed details of two new exclusive ‘OO’ gauge Bachmann Class 47 diesels, finished as 47003 in BR blue with ‘Stratford’ grey roof (Cat No. 35-411Z/ZSF/ZSFX) and 47363 Billingham Enterprise in BR Railfreight red-stripe livery (35-426Z/ZSF/ZSFX).

Unveiled at the Diesel and Electric Modellers United (DEMU) showcase event in Sutton Coldfield today (July 23), these latest additions to KMRC’s range of exclusive editions utilise Bachmann’s latest tooling for the Class 47.

As with previous releases, Bachmann’s tooling suite enables specific detail variations to be incorporated within each model, with 47003 featuring domino headcode panels, ribbed exhaust panels, Spanner boiler roof detail, 1,200 gallon fuel tank, Stones speedo drive, water tank filler and more, while 47363’s spec includes sealed beam headcode panel, smooth exhaust panels, blanked boiler roof detail, Slow Speed speedo cable and more.

Each model also features a five-pole twin-shaft motor, twin flywheels, all-wheel drive and pick-up, independent directional lighting, cab and engine bay illumination and Plux22 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket.

As with Bachmann’s main range releases, KMRC’s exclusive Class 47s will be available DCC ready, DCC sound-fitted and DCC sound-fitted deluxe – this latter option also offering independently controlled working roof fans and tinted glazing.

Priced at £239.95 DCC ready, £339.95 DCC sound-fitted and £369.95 DCC sound-fitted deluxe, they are available now – a small number of each will be available at the DEMU event this weekend, while stocks last.
