Kernow Model Rail Centre (KMRC) has selected GWR’s Class 08 08645 St Piran with distinctive Kernow flag livery as its next exclusive limited edition 'N' gauge model.
08645 received its new colour scheme – black with white cross – in 2019 when it was prepared for naming after the patron saint of Kernow/Cornwall, at GWR’s Long Rock Maintenance Depot’s open day on April 13 that year.
KMRC’s model of 08645 will utilise Bachmann’s newly-upgraded Graham Farish Class 08 chassis with coreless motor and Next 18 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket. The specification also includes separately fitted detailing.
Two models of 08645 will be available in DCC ready (Cat No. 371-015Z) and DCC sound-fitted (371-015ZSF) formats.
Prices for the eye-catching ‘N’ gauge models are set at £144.95 DCC ready and £244.95 for DCC sound-fitted examples. Pre-orders are being accepted now.
