Accurascale has revealed an additional exclusive model of its forthcoming all-new ‘OO’ gauge LNER ‘J68’ 0-6-0T finished as ‘Buckjumper’ 7027 in LNER black.
Built in late 1913 at the Great Eastern Railway’s (GER) Stratford Works, it entered traffic as GER No. 27 based at Cambridge depot. By Grouping it had migrated to Peterborough East for use on shunting duties and was renumbered 7027 by the London North Eastern Railway (LNER).
As with the previously announced 'OO' gauge LNER ‘Buckjumpers’ (HM191), this Accurascale Exclusive model will feature a die-cast metal chassis and boiler, coreless motor, helical gearbox, all-wheel pick-up, Next18 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket with stay-alive arrangement, removable smokebox door (for decoder access), firebox glow, separately applied detailing and pipework, sprung metal buffers, removable cab roof, detailed cab interior and brass turned whistle/valves.
Available DCC ready and DCC sound-fitted, prices are set at £139.99 and £239.99 respectively. Release is currently slated for the second quarter of 2024.
