Grosvenor Square’s growth spurt

The Hornby Magazine team is always looking to enhance its layouts and in 2018 it was the turn of our Western Region terminus. MIKE WILD reveals why and how this large layout has been taken to the next level. Photography Mike Wild.

GROSVENOR SQUARE was always supposed to be longer than when we first exhibited it. At the time there weren’t enough hours in the day to build the original planned 16ft length and instead it was restricted to 12ft for the scenic section to suit both the 2017 Hornby Magazine Yearbook and the layouts debut exhibition appearance at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition in November 2016.
