Full size Tamiya Bruiser joins House of Hobbies display

The famous Tamiya Brusier radio controlled 1/10 scale kit is being brought to life at Model World LIVE, with a full size replica joining the House of Hobbies stand.

Tamiya Bruiser replica and 1/10 scale radio control model. See the replica at Model World LIVE 2024 at the NEC in Birmingham on April 27/28 2024.

The Tamiya Brusier kit was introduced in 1985 and based on the Toyota Hilux pick up. The kit offered a three speed transmission as well as solid axle leaf spring suspension. It was made to 1/10 scale and was released in 2012 with modern improvements. Highlights of the most recent kits for the Brusier include a metal ladder frame chassis, die-cast transmission, refined clutch, locking differentials for off-road performance and more.

The full size replica of the Bruiser was completed in 2017. It used the latest generation Toyota Hilux, but with a full rework of the body and suspension by Arctic Trucks to create a unique one-off custom vehicle. Highlights include wider bodywork, 35-inch tyres, upgraded off-road suspension and changes to the gearing while it was also given matching decoration to the Tamiya model including diamond blue vinyl wrapping and hand applied livery details. It even has the Hog Heaven graphics and Toyota lettering on the rear.

The full size Bruiser will be on the House of Hobbies stand throughout the weekend of Model World LIVE 2024. See it at the NEC in Birmingham on April 27/28 2024.
