Brilliant 1/32 Browning .303s from GasPatch

Looking for aftermarket aircraft guns? If so, Greece's Gaspatch Models offers a wealth of armament. Here, we highlight the company's 1/32 .30 cal Brwonings.

GasPatch was one of the earliest proponents of 3D printing, utilising this technique to great effect in its superb gun accessory sets. The firm's Browning .30 cal Mk.I/Mk.II pack is one of its more involved products, providing four examples of this common British World War Two machine gun.

Parts are supplied for either a Mk.I or Mk.II variant, with the difference between the two being the barrel (the Mk.II is slightly shorter) and muzzle. Each weapon comprises five exquisitely detailed resin components: a barrel, main body, charging plate and automatic cocking device.

As a bonus there’s even a short length of ammunition for when you’ve opened the gun bays in your 1/32 Spitfire, Hurricane or even Beaufighter kit. Such is GasPatch’s attention to detail, there are even finely replicated features on the inside of the charging plate, giving an extra option to show the gun being reloaded – a very neat touch.

Painting guidance is straightforward, with a metallic main body and barrel, bronze/steel rounds and an aluminium cocking device. With the recent increase in newly tooled 1/32 RAF fighters, this set is a boon for modellers and one that is well worth the €15 price. It’s available direct from GasPatch Models.
