Six weeks to the Great Electric Train Show!

THE 2023 Great Electric Train Show is now just six weeks away and with a football match taking place at the MK Dons Stadium next door to the Marshall Arena on Saturday October 14 we are now able to confirm parking arrangements for the event weekend.

The 2023 Great Electric Train Show takes place on October 14/15 at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes with 30 layouts and more than 50 traders booked to attend.

Parking for Saturday October 14 is at the Milton Keynes Bowl which is located five minutes drive from the venue. This is free to park at for the 2023 show and is open and manned by Marshall Arena and Key Publishing staff from 8.00am-6.30pm. A free shuttle bus will operate at regular intervals to transport visitors to the Marshall Arena as the parking at the venue is reserved for the football match taking place in the Stadium on Saturday October 14. The postcode for the Milton Keynes Bowl parking is MK5 8AA.

Due to the change in parking arrangements for Saturday October 14, we are honouring Saturday Advance tickets on Sunday October 15.

The main event hall will play host to the largest portable 'OO' gauge layout in 2023 - Pete Waterman's combination of Making Tracks 1, 2 and 3 as a single 152ft long model of the West Coast Main Line.

Parking for Sunday October 15 is at the Marshall Arena in the venue car park. The car park is located around the arena hall and is now managed for paid parking. Great Electric Train Show visitors can still have free parking on the event day by entering their vehicle registration number into the tablets at the venue. This can be done at any time prior to departure, but must be done before leaving the venue as ANPR cameras now monitor traffic in and out of the Marshall Arena car park.

If you’re travelling by train to Milton Keynes Central railway station, a free bus service will be operating every 30 minutes throughout each day to the Marshall Arena for the Great Electric Train Show. It will depart from the bus stands immediately outside Milton Keynes Central railway station (final timings and stand number are currently being confirmed with the operator and will be published on the Great Electric Train Show pages.

The Great Electric Train Show offers the chance to get up close with featured layouts from the pages of Hornby Magazine and Key Model World.

A full event preview will be published on Wednesday September 6 offering full details of all the attending layouts and trade stands (subject to any final changes).

Discounted advance tickets are available now from the dedicated ticket sales page saving up to £2 over on the door prices and offering early entry to the show from 9.30am each day. Advance ticket sales close on October 9 2023 at 5pm.
