VIDEO: Heljan Class 07 with sound

Heljan Class 07

In the latest issue of Hornby Magazine Paul Chetter shows how to install digital sound in Heljan's compact 'OO' gauge model of the Class 07. In this video we showcase the finished model running on Topley Dale. See HM155 or sign up to KeyModelWorld to read the full sound installation guide.

Heljan first released the Class 07 in July 2018 and a second batch arrived in the shops in August 2019. All have directional lighting, a 6-pin DCC decoder socket, a three-pole motor and superb detailing. However, while the model hasn't been designed with sound specifically in mind, there are still spaces where a speaker, stay-alive and ZIMO MX648 decoder can be installed with careful planning and installation.

Our BR green version as D2988 now sounds just as good as it looks and with the added advantage of a stay-alive pack it has become the perfect shunting engine.
