Heljan Class 17
revealed for 'O'
Heljan has revealed the first factory decorated sample of its new 'O' gauge Class 17 Bo-Bo Type 1 diesel. Production versions are expected to arrive in the shops before the end of 2020.
The all-new model will feature twin motors, all-wheel drive, plug and play DCC interface featuring a LokSound L decoder socket, LED lighting, sprung buffers and couplings plus provision for an ESU smoke unit to be installed.
Four versions are planned priced at £549 each. They model the locomotive in BR green with small yellow warning panels without numbers (Cat No. 1750), BR green with full yellow ends without numbers (1751), BR blue with full yellow ends without numbers (1752) and as D8607 in BR green with small yellow warning panels weathered (1753).
The first sample received for inspection is finished in BR blue with full yellow ends and Heljan has stated that a number of revisions have been identified for correction before production.
