Heljan Class 25 in colour
The first factory decorated samples of Heljan's new 'OO' gauge Class 25 has been revealed by the manufacturer. The sample modelled D7647 in as delivered BR two-tone green livery with small yellow warning panels and is one of 12 versions due for release in late 2020.
The sample is subject to revisions before production with the finished models featuring a 21-pin decoder socket, directional lighting, a five-pole motor with twin flywheels plus all-wheel drive, NEM coupling pockets and a full set of bufferbeam pipes and fittings. Prices are set at £179.95 for pristine versions and £189.95 for factory weathered Class 25s.
The first batch will model D7647 in BR two-tone green (Cat No. 2530), D5244 in BR two-tone green weathered (2531), D7550 in BR two-tone green with full yellow cab fronts (2532), D7661 in BR blue with small yellow panels (2533), D7667 in BR blue with full yellow ends (2534), 25252 in BR blue (2535), 25155 in BR blue with a weathered finish (2536), 25093 in BR blue (2537), 25912 Tamworth Castle in BR 'Ice Cream Van' livery (2538), D7672 Tamworth Castle in BR two-tone green as used on railtours (2539), 97250 ETHEL 1 in BR blue and grey (2540) and 87252 ETHEL 3 in InterCity colours (2541).
In addition TMC has commissioned a limited edition as 25102 in mid-1970s BR two-tone green with full yellow ends.
