Heljan’s Great Western ‘Mogul’
The second ‘O’ gauge steam locomotive from the Heljan stable is due to arrive in January. MIKE WILD inspects this enticing new model of the Great Western Railway ‘43XX’ 2-6-0.
CHOOSING a prototype to model is always a challenge, but in ‘O’ gauge the past year has definitely been the year of the Great Western Railway (GWR) with release of Dapol and Minerva ‘Pannier’ tanks (HM131/HM125 respectively), Heljan’s impressive ‘61XX’ 2-6-2T (HM137) and now the Churchward ‘43XX’ 2-6-0.
