Hornby delivers its Mk 4 DVT for ‘OO’

The latest component of Hornby’s new Mk 4 carriage collection to arrive is the Driving Van Trailer. We take a detailed look at this new addition to complete Class 91 hauled push-pull trains.

INTRODUCTION of the new BR Mk 4 carriages at the end of the 1980s included provision for Driving Van Trailers (DVTs) to complete the Class 91 hauled push-pull formations. DVTs are also used on the West Coast Main Line with Mk 3 stock, but the vehicles for the East Coast Main Line had a new body profile to match the Mk 4 coach design.
