HORNBY’S all-new models of the Thompson ‘A2/2’ 4-6-2s got off to a rocky start. Assembly issues surrounding the fitting of the cab and running plate beset the first arrivals, but Hornby is aware and was expecting to have more news for Hornby Magazine soon.
On the up side, not all models were affected and even more pleasing is that it hasn’t stopped delivery of the closely related ‘A2/3’ locomotives for ‘OO’ gauge. First in for review is 60512 Steady Aim finished in BR lined green with early crests on the tender sides (Cat No. R3834).
