HELLO AND WELCOME to the latest issue of Hornby Magazine – our biggest of the year with 196 pages! On top of our usual mix of layout features, modelling guides, news and reviews we are also bringing you our second Hornby Magazine New Model Guide to keep you up-to-date with all the latest product development for ready-to-run models.
We launched the New Model Guide in our May 2021 issue and it is fascinating to see how ready-to-run has continued to grow. Last year we had more than 240 models listed, but this year that total has grown to more than 300. It’s incredible that so much is being invested across the scales from industrial steam locomotives to big main line diesels and everything in between.
Another high point is the trend towards modelling full sets of rolling stock and we have kept our listings up to date to include variations on themes such as the new Hornby Mk 3s and Mk 4s, Accurascale Mk 2bs and Hattons Original four-and six-wheel coaches.
