Development work on Hornby's collection of Pride-liveried ‘OO' gauge models received a boost in May with the arrival of a decorated sample of Class 66 66773 Pride of GB Railfreight (Cat No. R30023) for approval by the development team.

66773 was named in a ceremony at Brighton station in August 2019 and Hornby’s forthcoming model reflects the prototype with rainbow coloured GBRf bodyside branding, motifs, lining and Pride of GB Railfreight nameplates.

Hornby is also producing a ‘OO’ gauge model of Avanti West Coast’s Class 390 Pendolino 390119 in its striking Pride multi-vehicle colour scheme. It will be available as a four-car train pack (Cat No. R30081) together with five individual trailer vehicles to complete a representative nine-car set (R40196-R40200), with livery artwork for each vehicle now complete.

Finally, to celebrate International Pride month, the manufacturer has also added a new collectable wagon to its release schedule. Utilising the company’s long wheelbase box van, it is painted white with flowing rainbow flag, ‘Pride’ and ‘love is love’ lettering and is available exclusively through the Hornby website.

Prices are set at £74.99 for the Class 66, £261.99 for the Pendolino train pack, £44.99 for Pendolino trailer cars and £17.99 for the Pride wagon.
