‘TT:120’ Hornby Class 66 CAD complete

Hornby’s all-new ‘TT:120’ scale Class 66 Co-Co diesel is developing well with additional detailing now incorporated into the CAD renders, following evaluation of a previous 3D-printed sample.

Five all-new Class 66s are set to appear initially finished as 66714 Cromer Lifeboat in GB Railfreight blue and orange (Cat No.TT3016M), 66097 in DB Schenker red (TT3017M), 66779 Evening Star in BR lined green with GB Railfreight branding (TT3018M), 66850 David Maidment OBE in Colas Rail Freight livery (TT3019M) and 66789 British Rail 1948-1997 in BR large logo blue with GBRf branding (TT3020M).

Each will feature a five-pole skew wound motor, Next18 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket, etched metal roof and horn grilles, separately fitted metal handrails and specific detailing such as the distinctive cab front bell mounted beneath the headlight on 66779 Evening Star.

Priced at £129.99 each, release is expected in Summer 2024.
