Hornby TT:120 ‘Duchess’ gains colour

Hornby has received decorated samples of its all-new ‘TT:120’ LMS ‘Princess Coronation'.

Unveiled at Model Rail Scotland in Glasgow, Hornby’s newly-tooled model of 46243 Duchess of Abercorn was on display at the Hornby stand and on Hornby Magazine’s ‘TT:120’ exhibition layout, Twelvemill Bridge.

Hornby has showcased new decorated samples of their TT:120 duchess 4-6-2.

The tooling will cater for single and double chimney variations, examples with and without smoke deflectors and the model will have a five-pole motor, separately fitted detailing and a Next18 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket located in the tender. DCC ready examples will be fitted with HM7000 Triplex Sound (TXS) decoders.

The model will be available as 6231 Duchess of Atholl (single chimney) in LMS crimson lake (Cat No. TT3010M), 46232 Duchess of Montrose (double chimney) in BR lined green with early crests (TT3011M) and 46234 Duchess of Abercorn (double chimney) in BR lined green with late crests (TT3012M).

Priced at £167.99 DCC ready and £222.99 DCC sound fitted, they are anticipated for a summer 2024 release.
