The new 'TT:120' scale 'Duchess' - or 'Princess Coronation' - models the class of 38 locomotives introduced by Sir William Stanier in 1937 for use on LMS express passenger trains from London Euston to Glasgow via the West Coast Main Line. They were a development of the Stanier 'Princess Royal' 4-6-2s and featured four-cylinders, a 'Pacific' wheel arrange, a wide firebox, enclosed cab and a six-wheel Stanier tender.
The Hornby model features a locomotive mounted mechanism, finely created valve gear and motion, separately fitted parts throughout including handrails, an optional accessory pack, detailed cab interior, a Next18 decoder socket in the tender plus a factory fitted 15mm x 11mm cube speaker in DCC ready models. DCC sound fitted versions have a Hornby Triplex Sound Bluetooth decoder installed with a full suite of sounds pre-loaded onto them.
Prices for the 'TT:120' Stanier 'Duchess' are set at £167.99 for DCC ready examples and £222.99 for DCC sound fitted models.
