Hornby’s new Sentinel 0-6-0DH sails in

Despite only being announced in January, Hornby’s newly-tooled ‘OO’ gauge Sentinel 0-6-0DH has arrived with retailers. MARK CHIVERS casts a glance over this latest addition to the range.

HORNBY’S newly-tooled ‘OO’ gauge Rolls Royce Sentinel 0-6-0 diesel hydraulic shunters are here, just a few months after first being announced as part of Hornby’s 2022 range. Representing examples of industrial 0-6-0DH locomotives built by Rolls Royce Sentinel in the 1960s, three models have been produced initially finished as Manchester Ship Canal No. 3001 in MSC blue with yellow bodyside stripe (R30084) and the subject of our reviews, Port of Bristol Authority (PBA) 39 in lined blue (R30083) and Stanton Ironworks’ Stanton No. 57 in lined green (R30085).
