HORNBY STEPPED forward with the announcement of its brand-new ‘TT:120’ collection in October 2022 with the first products arriving in the UK for eager customers at the very end of the year.
The first train sets sold through quickly, but now a wider range of models is available, samples of the Gresley ‘A4’ 4-6-2s, BR Mk 1 carriages, Pullman coaches together with track, buildings and the first wagons have arrived in the Hornby Magazine office for inspection.
‘TT:120’ has been available to the European market for many years and the new British outline models are produced to the same 1:120 scale - the equivalent of 2.54mm to 1ft. Hornby has set out a long-term plan for the scale covering locomotives and rolling stock while its new range of Bluetooth Triplex Sound decoders have also been created with the new smaller scale in mind.
