SCENERY is the focus on the final part of our £500 Layout Challenge, but with less than £100 of our budget remaining its going to be tight. We usually turn to the Woodland Scenics range of our scenic materials and Green Scene for static grasses and we will be using those brands, but to keep the costs down we'll be picking out different items to create the scenic look.
The starting point on this 'OO' gauge layout is the base onto which we will add the scenic materials. This was built up using plaster bandage where low lying ground contours were required and with polystyrene blocks for the larger land form to create a cutting on the approach to the station. This was then painted brown with poster paints to provide a base colour
