How many of us have found ourselves in a situation where you have a proven, reliable track plan for a layout that’s realistic to operate and fun - but despite all of that you hanker for a change of scene? The obvious thing to do is to start again, but that’s time-consuming and costly - and environmental issues of discarding material are coming to the fore. What about taking a fresh look at what you already have?
Where do we start? Firstly, look at options for change. Sometimes there will be many, but there might only be a few or even one. One thing is certain though - if you don’t spend some time looking and thinking about alternatives, you’ll never know!
