Ukraine’s ICM will delight Luftwaffe modellers with its all-new quarter-scale Gotha Go 242B, says CHRIS CLIFFORD.

ICM 1/48 DEBUT WITH NEW GOTHA GLIDER

Modellers long enough in the tooth may remember Italeri’s 1/72 kit of the fascinating Gotha Go 242/244 from the 1980s. It was a pleasing item for its time, but left those who favoured 1/48 scale out in the cold. Always on the lookout for interesting subjects, and having previous form with 1/48 Luftwaffe subjects, ICM has now taken the plunge by offering a superb-looking Gotha Go 242B in this scale… with promise of the Go 242A to follow. The ‘B’ kit (48225) is a busy package with nine grey styrene runners and one clear, the latter startlingly so with no distortion.
